Solicitor (0-3 PQE) - Housing Litigation
THE ROLE & TEAM
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor (0-3 PQE) to join our Housing team in our Manchester office (with cross office working at times).
You will be joining one of the UKs foremost housing management teams who have a wealth of experience in acting for Registered Providers. The team work on varied and complex matters including anti-social behaviour and housing management possessions, injunctions, committals, housing disrepair, property condition and hoarding cases, access cases and housing management policy advice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing a varied caseload of housing litigation matters on behalf of Registered Providers, with appropriate supervision
Advising on and progressing cases involving:
Anti-social behaviour
Possession proceedings and housing management litigation
Injunctions and committal proceedings
Housing disrepair and property condition claims
Hoarding and access matters
Supporting senior colleagues on more complex and high-value cases
Attending court hearings and undertaking advocacy where appropriate
Drafting legal documents including pleadings, witness statements and applications
Providing clear, practical and commercial advice to clients
Building strong client relationships and contributing to excellent client service delivery
ABOUT YOU
Qualified Solicitor with up to 3 years’ PQE
Experience of, or a strong interest in, housing litigation or social housing law
Exposure to a varied caseload (contentious work preferred)
Some advocacy experience or a willingness to develop this skill
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
A proactive and ambitious approach, with a genuine enthusiasm to build a career in housing law
Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to build relationships with clients and colleagues
A team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to learn and contribute to a supportive team environment
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
